Before this role, he was Group Vice President of R&D at Medtronic in Minneapolis, where he spearheaded the R&D transformation of the Restorative Therapy Group, improved R&D productivity by 20 per cent, and facilitated several key product launches, amongst other achievements. He is well-versed and experienced in the field of manufacturing start-ups, specifically large, complex organisations in diverse cultural settings, including Malaysia, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines and the United States of America. He began his career at Hitachi Semiconductor Group Malaysia as a Quality Control Engineer for 3 years before joining Motorola (now ON Semiconductor), where he spent 20 years in several leadership roles, including Director of Manufacturing (Asia). With his demonstrated leadership and expertise in delivering the business’s technical and executive strategies, he held leadership roles in R&D and Operations at Medtronic from 2007 to 2020. He also sits on the Board of IceMos Technology Corporation.
