During the year, the segment benefited from sustained demand in emerging technology fields such as AI, data infrastructure, biomedical innovation and smart energy systems, contributing to an improved product mix and reinforcing the Group’s strategic shift towards higher-margin Emerging Technology products. The segment remains focused on enhancing operational efficiency, improving yields and optimising capacity utilisation to support long-term growth. The Group also continues to build on its established capabilities in silicon photonics, a nextgeneration technology enabling high-speed, energy-efficient data transmission. This positions the segment to capture opportunities in emerging technologies use cases, further strengthening its presence in high-growth, high-value segments within the global semiconductor industry.
