GCEO IN FOCUS Dear Valued Shareholders, My term as GCEO during FY2025 was a period that called for decisive action and a fundamental recalibration of the Group’s priorities, laying the foundation of more consistent delivery going forward. From the outset, our direction was clear - to stabilise our core businesses, reinforce financial discipline and ensure favourable operational outcomes. Over this period, I worked closely with our teams across our Semiconductor, Energy and Information Technology (“IT”) segments, gaining a deeper insight into both the strengths within our platform and the areas requiring focused intervention. Our efforts centred on bolstering operational rigour, tightening cost structures, improving coordination within the operating segments and aligning performance expectations more closely with strategic priorities. While these initiatives were not without challenges, it was essential to raising accountability and more reliable performance throughout the Group. Our core businesses continued to generate positive operating cashflow throughout the year. At the same time, we navigated external operational headwinds that weighed short-term performance, without altering the Group’s long-term direction. One of my key priorities during the year was strengthening alignment Group-wide. To ensure DNeX remains financially resilient, we lodged a RM3.0 billion Sukuk Wakalah Programme on 31 March 2026, providing funding flexibility to support future capital requirements in a prudent and measured manner. The actions taken have established a more secure operating base, tighter cost control and a more focused portfolio. As we move into the next phase, I am confident in DNeX’s value-creation pathways and the strength of the fundamentals that will underpin future performance. My conviction has reaffirmed that DNeX will gain strategic advantage to deliver more consistent and sustainable outcomes for our multi-stakeholders.
