Dato' Seri DiRaja Syed Razlan Ibni Syed Putra was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Destini Berhad on 14 August 2026. He brings with him extensive experience in agriculture, animal science, corporate leadership, strategic management, and public service. He began his career as a Tutor at the College of Agriculture Malaysia in 1972 and subsequently served as a Lecturer at Universiti Pertanian Malaysia. He later held various senior leadership positions in the corporate sector, including Executive Director of Makmor Group of Companies, Executive Chairman of Defcom Services Sdn. Bhd., Chief Executive Officer of American Malaysian Insurance Sdn. Bhd., Executive Chairman of Delcom Services Sdn. Bhd., Executive Chairman of Organigro Sdn. Bhd., Chairman of Ancom Cropcare Sdn. Bhd., Executive Chairman of MESB Berhad and Chairman of Tanah Emas Corporation Berhad. He has also held various leadership positions in several organisations and companies, including Executive Chairman of Lax Matrix Sdn. Bhd., Executive Chairman of Lax Global Sdn. Bhd., Technical & Strategic Advisor to Green World Genetics Sdn. Bhd., Executive Chairman of e-Agro Sdn. Bhd., Board Director of Dagang Sejahtera Sdn. Bhd., Board Director of Sirage Group Sdn. Bhd., Chairman of Glide Group of Companies, Executive Chairman of Briar Resources Sdn. Bhd. and Chairman of D'Mart Segi Fresh Sdn. Bhd. He was also the former Chairman of Universiti Putra Malaysia. Dato' Seri DiRaja Syed Razlan has also been actively involved in sports administration, having served as President of the Malaysian Rugby Union, Vice-President of the Asian Rugby Football Union, Chairman of the Stadium Merdeka Malaysia Board of Governors, and Patron of the Perlis Rugby Union. He does not hold any directorships in any other public listed companies. He has no family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of the Company, except YDM Dato' Syed Haizam Hishamuddin Putra Jamalullail, who is his nephew. He has no conflict of interest with the Company or its subsidiaries. He does not have any convictions for any offenses within the past five (5) years, or any public sanction or penalty imposed by regulatory bodies during the financial year ended 30 June 2026.
