IFC is the pioneer fish canning company in PNG. Construction of our processing facility started in 1993, and the first batch of locally produced canned mackerel rolled off the plant in 1995. IFC later ventured into tuna, producing tuna products such as pre-cooked frozen loins and canned tuna for both export and domestic markets. IFC’s processing facility is recognised by the European Union and has also obtained international accreditations which include HACCP, GMP, BRC (British Retail Consortium), IFS (International Food Standard), MSC (Marine Stewardship Council), Dolphin Safe and Halal certification from JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia).
